For more than 45 years, the Moncton Distribution Center has been a key connection point across Atlantic Canada. Since opening in February 1980, the facility has grown alongside the communities it serves and today supports restaurants across five Canadian provinces, from mainland Atlantic Canada to Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island.Located in Moncton, New Brunswick, the 49,155-square-foot distribution center is home to 88 team members. In 2025, the team handled more than 3.7 million cases and completed nearly 250 deliveries each week to 127 restaurants.

Moncton’s geography makes it uniquely positioned to serve restaurants across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador, requiring careful planning and coordination to ensure products arrive safely and on time. Dedicated routes connect communities across islands, coastal regions, and mainland provinces, showcasing the team's commitment to service and reliability. The facility recently underwent a renovation in 2024, creating a modern work environment designed to support collaboration and employee wellbeing. Updates included an open-concept office space, new sit-stand desks, refreshed workspaces featuring Martin Brower branding, an upgraded kitchen area for team members to enjoy, along with an expanded parking lot to improve traffic flow and enhance safety.

Moncton is also helping lead Martin Brower's sustainability efforts in Canada. Earlier this year, the distribution center became the first Martin Brower facility in Canada to install shore power technology, allowing trucks to connect to electrical power while parked instead of idling their engines. The innovation helps reduce emissions while supporting a more efficient operation and it has reduced noise levels.

Did You Know?

The Moncton Distribution Center is the oldest facility in Martin Brower Canada's network.

Two delivery routes travel to Prince Edward Island twice each week, crossing the iconic Confederation Bridge, Canada's longest bridge and the world's longest bridge over ice-covered water.

The Moncton team delivers to McDonald's restaurants in five different Canadian provinces, one of the most geographically diverse service territories in the Martin Brower network.

Serving Newfoundland requires one of the longest and most remote delivery journeys in our network, with trailers traveling by road and ferry before reaching stores across the island. Routes to the St. John's area can involve more than 17 hours of driving, with deliveries taking up to four days from departure to arrival.

By applying data-driven category management, optimizing supplier networks, and expanding reverse logistics, we help customers reduce costs, avoid fees, and identify opportunities to recover value from waste streams. Each June, Martin Brower celebrates Safety month – a time to reflect, recommit, and reinforce the habits that create a safety work environment for everyone. Our Safety JourneyWe know that a true safety-first culture isn’t built on policies – it’s created when each team member makes conscious choices to protect themselves and others every time they enter a Martin Brower facility. It’s the warehouse associate who secures an uneven pallet, the driver who maintains a safe following distance, and the team member who pauses to help a colleague lift properly. These individual decisions, multiplied across our more than 13,000 team members, create the protective foundation that truly keeps our people safe. Our company-wide safety program targets the only goal that matters – zero. This mindset drives continuous improvement across all our operations, resulting in meaningful progress:· 20% reduction in recordable injury rate· The US had 181 fewer workplace accidents than in 2023· The UK & Ireland had a 42% reduction in their workplace accident rate· 6 of our global sites reported zero recordable workplace injuriesLooking ForwardThis Safety Month, we’re challenging our team to strengthen those daily habits that make the biggest difference – mastering proper lifting techniques, maintaining safe distances on the road, avoiding shortcuts that introduce risk, and supporting colleagues in making safety-conscious decisions. Throughout June, we’ll spotlight team members across our LinkedIn channel as they share personal safety practices that have made a meaningful difference in their lives. These real stories remind us that safety isn’t abstract – it’s about concrete actions we take every day to ensure everyone returns home safely at the end of their shift.Together, we’re protecting what matters most: our people.

Tourmaline Oil Corp. (TSX: TOU) (“Tourmaline”) and Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE) (“Clean Energy”) announced today the opening of two new compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations in Alberta, marking a key milestone in their continuing efforts to build Western Canada’s first commercial-grade public CNG fueling network. The new locations in Calgary and Grande Prairie, along with the Edmonton station which opened in April 2023, establish a crucial transportation corridor for trucking companies converting their fleets from diesel to CNG. Powering long-haul trucks and other fleets with CNG results in lower emissions of carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxide and particulate matter compared to traditional diesel-powered vehicles.

The $70 million Joint Development Agreement between Tourmaline and Clean Energy was announced in April 2023, along with their commitment to build up to 20 CNG fueling stations across Western Canada in the next five years. In just over a year, their customer base has grown to nine market-leading companies that have already collectively displaced two million litres of diesel by utilizing CNG technology.

Cummins, one of the world’s leading engine manufacturers, has recently introduced its X15N natural gas engine into the Canadian and U.S. heavy-duty truck market. Trucks with pre-production models of the X15N were tested by some of the most demanding fleets over the last year including Walmart, Werner, Knight Swift, FedEx Freight and UPS. It was found to deliver diesel-like ratings as well as durability and reliability to allow fleets to significantly reduce emissions of carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulphur dioxide and particulate matter without sacrificing capability. Mullen Group Ltd., (Mullen Group), the first company to support the Tourmaline and Clean Energy initiative, plans to leverage the new X15N engine as it prepares to nearly double its fleet of CNG-fueled trucks.

Once complete, the 20-station network could fuel up to 3,000 natural gas-powered trucks daily. Construction on the next CNG fueling station is set to begin in Kamloops, B.C., with Fort McMurray and Fort St. John to follow. The CNG stations are also equipped with the same infrastructure needed for renewable natural gas (RNG), making for a streamlined transformation when RNG becomes more readily available in Canada.

The expanding network of fueling stations represents a significant diesel displacement opportunity by providing a reliable source of compressed natural gas (CNG) for long-haul trucks and other fleets.

Volvo Trucks North America customer Martin Brower, a leading supply chain solutions provider for global restaurant chains, is taking delivery of ten additional Volvo VNR Electric vehicles that will support food and beverage deliveries to select McDonald’s restaurants in the greater Montreal and greater Toronto areas. As a key distributor for McDonald's global operations, Martin Brower has partnered with the restaurant leader to help reduce its carbon footprint in Canada with the expansion of alternative-fuel vehicles in Martin Brower’s supply chain fleet in two of its distribution centres. The battery-electric vehicles used for deliveries to select McDonald’s restaurants in the greater Montreal and greater Toronto areas will expand on the trial of the first zero-tailpipe emission tractor that was deployed in 2022 to Martin Brower’s Baie d’Urfé distribution centre to support deliveries to McDonald’s restaurants in the Montreal area.“It’s exciting to see a powerhouse brand like McDonald’s working with their partners to help decarbonize the transportation of goods,” said Matthew Blackman, managing director for Canada, Volvo Trucks North America. “It’s a testament to the performance and reliability of the Volvo VNR Electric that these global leaders are choosing to scale their trial of battery-electric vehicles where feasible.”The first Class 8 Volvo VNR Electric tractor to service McDonald’s restaurants in North America was part of a trial in the Montreal area, to assess the heavy-duty battery-electric vehicle’s ability to handle routine routes and large product loads. Following this initial trial, McDonald’s Canada and Martin Brower collaborated to deploy ten more Volvo VNR Electric vehicles. Seven of these vehicles will operate in the greater Toronto area, while the remaining three will be domiciled at the Montreal distribution centre in Baie-D'Urfé and operate in the greater Montreal area.“After two years with the battery-electric Volvo VNR tractor on the road, we are pleased to see more electric vehicles added to the fleet serving McDonald’s restaurants in the trial areas, as we work towards our global pledge to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050” said Hope Bentley, head of supply chain, McDonald’s Canada. “Even though customers won’t notice any difference in their favourite order, McDonald’s is taking action behind the scenes to help make an impact in the communities we serve, for the planet we share.”

Martin Brower is a long-time service provider for McDonald’s, partnering since 1956 to deliver food and beverage products to founder Ray Kroc’s first restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois. Both companies have pledged objectives relating to GHG emissions reduction, with McDonald’s aiming to achieve net-zero GHG emissions globally by 2050 and Martin Brower targeting a 50% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030 from a 2018 baseline.Martin Brower worked with Vision Truck Group, a local Volvo Trucks Certified Electric Vehicle Dealer, to spec the ideal truck configuration based on the routes and application monitored during the Montreal trial. Vision Truck Group utilized the Electric Performance Generator (EPG) tool to identify the preferred Volvo VNR Electric configurations for Martin Brower to best service McDonald’s restaurants in the test market. The EPG takes into consideration specific route details, including traffic patterns and environmental factors, such as terrain and ambient temperature. The electric vehicles based in the Baie d’Urfé distribution centre will be serviced by Camions Volvo Montreal, which assisted Martin Brower with its first 6x4 configuration Volvo VNR Electric tractor during the initial trial. The electric vehicles operating in the greater Toronto area will be serviced by Vision Truck Group. McDonald’s pledge to achieve net-zero GHG emissions globally by 2050 aligns with the initiative behind the Montreal trial, testing lower tailpipe emission vehicles with its supply chain partner, Martin Brower.

Moving Communities Forward

For Martin Brower, being a leader in supply chain is about more than just moving products or things. We are driven by a purpose: to architect progress and leave a better world for future generations. But we know we cannot build a responsible future alone. To ensure our company is resilient in the future, reduce our environmental impact, and have a lasting impact on the communities we call home, we need to harness the collective power of our network to create real, meaningful change. That’s why we established “Impact for Good” as one of our four organizational pillars. Under this pillar and through our MB Cares program, we aim to build a responsible future by leveraging our global reach and networks to fuel progress in our communities and around environmental sustainability. We have set ambitious goals across four commitment areas: recycling, energy, fuel and emissions, and community engagement. Also, we have set ambitious net zero climate targets approved by the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi).Read more about the meaningful advancements we have made across all our commitments in our 2023 Corporate Social Responsibility Report.

Recently, Martin Brower (MB) partnered with Tesla to pilot the use of all-electric Semis out of our Stockton, California distribution center (DC). Martin Brower is among several companies in the US to use the Tesla Semi.As part of our strategic sustainability goals, Martin Brower is committed to being the leader in creating net-zero logistics solutions for our customers and reducing our climate impact through science-based targets. The key to accomplishing our sustainability goals is to create a resilient fleet of the future by deploying the latest alternative fuel technologies, which Tesla is a leader in. Piloting the Semi within our fleet was a natural step towards achieving that goal. The pilot ran earlier this year and included two all-electric Semis running routes to restaurants serviced by our Stockton DC.A group of five MB drivers, Frank Solari, Leo Alvarez, Casey Kamp, Carlos Nava, and Javier Hernandez, were trained to operate the Tesla Semi, which uniquely positions the steering wheel and driver’s seat in the center of the cockpit and has other design features to increase driver visibility and safety. Overall, our drivers had positive feedback on how the vehicle performs.Currently, the Tesla Semi can travel up to 500 miles on a single charge and reach a full charge quickly using a Semi Charger.Chargers could be installed on-site at a DC and would further lower our carbon footprint as all our US DCs are fully powered by renewable energy.Martin Brower will review the results of the pilot to consider implementing the Tesla all-electric Semis into our West Coast fleet as California state regulations will begin to push zero-emission vehicles starting in 2026-27.

Martin Brower is committed to being the leader in creating net-zero logistics solutions for our customers and reducing our climate impact through science-based targets.

At Martin Brower, we are committed to driving forward our net zero goals. We are making meaningful progress by fostering resilience within our distribution centers, including purchasing renewable electricity that covers our DCs. In 2022, we led an effort, together with McDonald’s and the North American Logistics Council, to purchase solar power to cover the electricity usage for 100% of our United States distribution centers. A key component was to leverage partnerships across the system to drive a bigger impact than any of us could do on our own. The partners recently came to see the completed project and shared their thoughts on the efforts. To learn more about Enel North America, our solar energy partner, click here. Carrier Transicold has unveiled at the Solutrans tradeshow a new version of its Vector ® HE 19 unit, designed to reduce the carbon output of its flagship temperature-controlled trailer system. An initial prototype is undergoing in-depth testing with Fraikin and Martin Brower, two existing customers. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.Underlining Carrier Transicold’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, this new version of the Vector ® HE 19 can run on a new refrigerant with a lower global warming potential (GWP), to significantly reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions without compromising performance. The system is also compatible with B100 biofuel.Customers will be able to use the new low-GWP refrigerant and the B100 fuel in combination or separately. The new lower GWP refrigerant can deliver an 88% CO2 savings over the standard R452A refrigerant. With refrigerant accounting for around 15% of a conventional refrigeration unit’s total CO2 emissions, this represents a significant reduction. The B100 biofuel, typically derived from recycled vegetable oils, animal fats or cooking oils, alone reduces the carbon emissions of the newly modified Vector ® HE 19 by between 60% and 91%, depending on the type of B100 used, compared with a standard diesel unit. Combined with the low-GWP refrigerant, the system can deliver a total minimum reduction of 73% in CO2 emissions over a year of use."Sustainability and environmental responsibility are at the center of Carrier Transicold’s projects, which is why we are delighted to unveil these innovative advances" said Victor Calvo, Vice President & General Manager, Truck Trailer International, Carrier Transicold. "Created to meet the needs and ambitions of our customers, starting with our long-standing customers Fraikin and Martin Brower, this innovation is yet another asset to help every transport provider achieve their decarbonization goals."This solution will be on display for the duration of the Solutrans show, from Nov. 21 to 25, outside the EUREXPO exhibition center in Lyon. Winner of the special "Joseph LIBNER" prize at the Solutrans Innovation Awards for innovations with an environmental dimension, this solution is designed to improve customers’ sustainability and carbon emission reductions while maintaining refrigeration quality."Fraikin has always been committed to offering its customers innovative solutions in order to better respond to market developments," said Olivier Renard, CEO of Fraikin France, Europe's leading operational leasing company for industrial and commercial vehicles. "Working with Carrier Transicold allows us to grow, adapt to the market and stay at the forefront of innovation by meeting the demands of complex projects and offering innovative solutions for our customers."

As with all Carrier Transicold Vector ® HE 19 units, the system combines the company’s all-electric E-Drive technology with a refined, multi-speed engine. The innovative design of Carrier Transicold’s Vector ® HE 19 also delivers optimized airflow management to maximize performance. The system harnesses the Coanda effect – which helps cool air ‘stick’ to the roof of the trailer – to ensure consistent temperature control throughout, helping to maintain the integrity of the cold chain. With the unit also being PIEK-compliant, the system delivers the ultimate solution to tightening urban emissions and noise regulations. Initially planned for the French market, production of the new Carrier Transicold Vector ® HE 19 unit is expected to start in 2024 and will be available in both mono- and multi-temperature configurations. For more information on Carrier Transicold products and services, visit https://www.carrier.com/truck-trailer/en/eu/.
The new Martin Brower brand identity
Effective today, May 15, 2023, Martin Brower is proud to announce their new logo and brand identity! This announcement comes on the first inaugural 'MB Day', a celebration that honors their journey, beginning in 1934, to the success they see today.
Watch a video commemorating the first annual MB Day below

Why the change?
Martin Brower was founded 89 years ago as the Brower Paper Company before later joining with the Martin Paper Company to create the Martin-Brower Paper Company. After many successful years, in 1998 they joined the Reyes Family of Businesses as Martin Brower, marking Reyes Holdings' first venture outside of beverage distribution. Since then, Martin Brower has grown significantly to become a leading, global supply chain solutions provider for some of the world's most recognizable brands. So why the change? The new logo, colors and accompanying visuals reflect the Martin Brower team's new strategic direction, bringing a fresh and modern look to the brand while still staying true to their roots. And the doppler pattern is a visual manifestation of the sound you hear when a truck passes - an homage the backbone of the Martin Brower business.

The new Martin Brower brand anthem
To us, being a leader in supply chain is never just been about moving products or things. It's not about what happens when we accurately forecast the next order, when a warehouse is expertly turned in a day or when our intelligently routed truck arrives at your favorite restaurant. It's what comes next that drives us. The family meal together, enjoying an ice cream after the winning game, the first sip of a refreshing drink on a hot day. When people ask us what we do, we tell them we connect people to the things that matter. We just happen to do so by being the leaders in supply.
Martin Brower. We move the things that matter.

Effective today, May 15, 2023, Martin Brower is proud to announce their new logo and brand identity!

Exciting Updates to the Martin Brower Brand

Houston, TX - Dec. 15, 2022. McDonald's Corporation and all five members of the restaurant chain's North American Logistics Council (NALC) – Armada, Earp Distribution, Martin Brower, Mile Hi Foods and The Anderson-DuBose Company – have signed agreements with Enel North America to purchase renewable energy and the associated renewable energy certificates (RECs) from Enel Green Power's Blue Jay solar project in Grimes County, Texas. This innovative aggregation of a major company purchasing power jointly with its logistics partners means the electricity load of McDonald's USA's entire logistics supply chain for all its U.S. restaurants is expected to be 100% supported by renewable energy. The Blue Jay solar project is expected to be fully operational in 2023. Once complete, McDonald's and its suppliers' combined electricity purchase is expected to amount to an estimated average of over 470,000 megawatt hours (MWh) of renewable energy annually. This is equivalent to avoiding over 170,000 metric tons of carbon emissions annually or the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from over 80 million trucking miles driven each year."Adding Blue Jay solar to our U.S. renewable energy portfolio is one of the many important steps in our journey to achieving our net zero aspirations," said Bob Stewart, SVP and Chief Supply Chain Officer, North America, at McDonald's. "This deal is a unique example of how McDonald's and its logistics partners are combining efforts to leverage their reach and scale to tackle supply chain emissions together. We are excited about our collective potential to help address climate change and drive continuous improvement."Supply chain emissions, which are categorized as Scope 3 emissions by GHG Protocol, are challenging to address and measure because they're driven by activities that are beyond the direct control of the organization, such as the transportation and distribution of products. Scope 3 emissions account for 75% of companies' GHG emissions on average, according to 2022 report released by CDP.

"While major corporations are increasingly encouraging and advising their partners on how to reduce their carbon emissions, McDonald's took it one step further by becoming the anchor buyer alongside its suppliers. McDonald's and the NALC recognized early on that collaboration across the supply chain is the only way to effectively address electricity emissions for all logistics suppliers," said Danny Fahey, NALC Sustainability Lead and Vice President of U.S. Strategy at Martin Brower. "This aggregation represents how a joint effort will be essential to making continued progress towards climate goals."The combined purchase of 189 megawatts (MW) of renewable power, equivalent to more than 900 U.S. McDonald's restaurants-worth of renewable energy annually, is intended to help McDonald's and the NALC members meet their ambitious climate commitments."This innovative deal demonstrates how Enel is helping major companies take a hands-on approach in helping their partners decarbonize their operations," said Paolo Romanacci, head of Enel North America's renewable energy business, Enel Green Power. "We're honored to be part of such a monumental deal and look forward to helping McDonald's and its suppliers achieve their supply chain emission reduction goals through this tailored solution."Enel, McDonald's and its suppliers are committed to creating long-term value in the local communities surrounding the Blue Jay solar project. The companies signed a mutual letter of intent to participate in Enel's Premium Offer program and co-develop community investment projects that align with the core values of each company.Approximately 275 jobs have been created during the construction phase and the project is expected to generate more than $41 million in new tax revenue over its operating life for state taxing entities. Furthermore, Enel has committed over $216,500 to fund STEM and upskilling programs for local schools and colleges since the start of the project's construction in May 2021. The Blue Jay project also includes an 88.2 MWh battery energy storage system, which will help support the reliability of the local energy grid. The buyer aggregation was facilitated by Coho Climate Advisors. "Close collaboration amongst all parties during a challenging time in the renewable energy industry proved crucial to create this impressive agreement," said Gavin Ahern, Director of Client Service for Coho Climate Advisors.

McDonald's Corporation and all five members of the NALC have signed agreements with Enel North America to purchase renewable energy and the associated renewable energy certificates.

First tractor in use
Surrey, B.C. — October 27, 2022: Martin Brower of Canada Co. (Martin Brower), a leading logistics service provider for restaurant chains around the world, is operating its first tractor for McDonald’s Canada food delivery services on 100 percent Renewable Natural Gas (RNG)[1] provided by FortisBC Energy Inc. (FortisBC). The first tractor is in operation, with an additional six scheduled to arrive later this year. The tractors are being tested in British Columbia to assess the feasibility of using them to deliver to McDonald’s Canada restaurants across Canada where possible.“At McDonald’s Canada, we know making small changes to our supply chain can result in a big impact, which is why we’re working with our long-time distribution partner Martin Brower to help us use our scale for good,” said Rob Dick, Supply Chain Officer at McDonald’s Canada. “Globally, we’ve pledged to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050–a pledge that we are continuing to make progress towards here in Canada by investing in real and tangible changes like testing seven new Kenworth tractors powered by RNG provided by FortisBC.”

About Renewable Natural Gas
“We are committed to providing customers, like McDonald’s Canada, with a lower-carbon fuel option to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in commercial transportation,” said Mike Leclair, vice-president, major projects and liquefied natural gas at FortisBC. “Renewable Natural Gas has enormous potential to economically reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transportation, a sector that contributes over 40 percent of greenhouse gas emissions in the province.”Renewable Natural Gas helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions by putting organic waste to work. FortisBC takes advantage of carbon already in the system by capturing methane and repurposing it. Renewable Natural Gas can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by displacing conventional natural gas in supplying energy to homes, businesses and transportation.FortisBC will supply Martin Brower with up to 5,000 gigajoules of RNG over the next year, which can power seven tractors in service for McDonald’s Canada. All of these tractors will be fuelled with 100 percent RNG to drive the vehicles. Owners of compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles can purchase RNG from FortisBC, which lowers the carbon intensity of the entire gas system. Using Renewable Natural Gas in CNG powered vehicles reduces emissions by upwards of 85 percent over diesel and costs about 45 percent less than traditional diesel fuel when carbon credits are generated and applied to the cost of RNG.[2] Switching to RNG also uses the same natural gas engine without any additional capital investment once customers adopt CNG.“Our goal is to deliver innovative and meaningful solutions that help restaurants and our business create a more globally sustainable, ethical, and responsible future,” said Julie Dell’Aniello, president, Martin Brower Canada. “Integrating the first Renewable Natural Gas tractor into our fleet is an essential step towards further minimizing Martin Brower’s carbon emissions and environmental impact.”Learn more about energy solutions for on-road transportation from FortisBC.

[1] — Renewable Natural Gas is produced in a different manner than conventional natural gas. It is derived from biogas, which is produced from decomposing organic waste from landfills, agricultural waste and wastewater from treatment facilities. The biogas is captured and cleaned to create Renewable Natural Gas (also called biomethane).[2] — The Renewable and Low Carbon Fuel Requirements Regulation has a carbon intensity for electric vehicles is 19 gCO2e/MJ compared to RNG at 10 gCO2e/MJ (weighted average).

As part of our Reyes Cares: Fuel & Emissions initiative, Martin Brower Canada is partnering with McDonald’s Canada to conduct a pilot program utilizing the Volvo VNR Electric Class 8 tractor. This pilot program will help both parties assess the feasibility of scaling alternative fuel vehicles to service more than 1,400 restaurants across Canada.

Martin Brower has been a key supply chain partner for McDonald’s globally since it opened its first restaurant in the U.S. in 1956 and works closely with the restaurant leader to continue to reduce its global carbon footprint. The Martin Brower Canada team is excited at the chance to test this new technology and will deliver to local McDonald’s restaurants within a 95-mile range of the Montreal Distribution Centre over the coming months:

Due to the vastly different seasons in Quebec, it seemed the perfect location to kick-off the initiative to demonstrate the effectiveness and reliability of the battery-electric drivetrain in both the heat of a Montreal summer and the cold of winter. To ensure the Volvo VNR Electric tractor is charged and ready, Martin Brower has also installed onsite charging infrastructure.“Our goal is to deliver innovative and meaningful solutions to help restaurants and our business create a more sustainable, ethical and responsible future – every day, all over the world,” said Julie Dell’Aniello, president, Martin Brower Canada. “By integrating the Volvo VNR Electric tractor into our fleet, we will gain valuable experience for future zero-tailpipe emission tractor deployments that will enable us to continue driving down Martin Brower’s greenhouse gas emissions so we can meet our sustainability targets.”
